Please introduce yourself and where you work.

My name is David Wilson. I am the owner of Braveheart Digital Marketing. We are a boutique agency based in Manchester NH.
I hae over fifteen years experience helping businesses secure new customers through SEO, PPC, content marketing, social media, and other digital channels.
I have designed and implemented cutting edge inbound marketing strategies in almost every vertical, working with the likes of GE, Gillette. Crest, Dove, Pampers, Biography, Allegra, TripAdvisor, and Novartis to many smaller businesses and startups.

How do you think SEO has changed over the last 10 years?

SEO and Google has always been about high quality content and a good user experience. What has changed over the last 10 years is that the various Google updates have removed a lot of the easy hacks that people used to shortcut success. So now

How did you get introduced to digital marketing, more specifically SEO?

I built my website in 1998 and after it was launched the client asked how do we drive people to the ite? As I started working on the SEO aspects of their website I realized that I liked the data learning and analytical approach to SEO more than I did web design.

What are the services you provide to your clients?

SEO, PPC, content marketing, social media and lead generation.

What strategy according to you will prevail in 2017 for SEO?

I don’t think there is one golden bullet anymore for SEO in 2017. You need to be successful on a variety of fronts like:

  • Mobile Friendly Website
  • Easily crawlable website
  • Great content in different formats (text, audio, video, images)
  • Clean backlink profile

What would your advice be to people who are looking to take up digital marketing as a career choice?

Be a practitioner. Set up your own website and try things. There is a lot of misinformation about hat works and what doesn’t work from an SEO perspective online. Go and try test different tactics and see for yourself what works.
Besides giving you practical experience, it also will give you real-life examples that you can bring up in job interviews or when meeting with clients.
